Wow.  I'm shocked.  I just found out last night that Pete had passed away.  Hard to believe right now.  I worked with Pete at Pino Tile and Carpet.  He was a good boss.  He ran his company with an arm and hammer.  Sometimes Pete and I would play racket ball together.  My condolences to the family, Beth, Brenda, Heath and others.

You were there from the very beginning... 

Well, saying goodbye forever has been hard, it’s been especially hard to watch our sons love for his Poppy pour out thru his tears. It is difficult to know that he isn’t just a call away, or that Dad is not going to be there for all the milestones our children will reach, for the joys, missteps or for those times when you just want to say hi. We were not really prepared for what happened. We were sure he would come up on top of this battle as he’d done time and again. He was the meaning Strength, Perseverance, Wit, Pride and Dedication.

All that we can do now is continue to instill in Logan and Eliana the value of love of family, life, morals, ethics, and respect.

We’ve been missing you so much already, We will always remember and love you. 

 Beth, Peter, Joe, Brenda and Nick.  I'm not sure where to begin,  we were so saddened to learn today of your father's  passing.  Our friendship spans back at least 3 decades.  There are so many memories of good times I  couldn't possibly  begin to recall them in this note.  Pete was more than a friend to our family.  He was a loving and generous person.  He treated my children as he would his own grand children and for that I will always be grateful.  Please accept our sincerest sympathy and know that he will forever be remembered and have a place in our hearts.  Love, Steve, Mary, Shelbi and Justin Edwards.


I worked with Pete when I was 18 but I knew the family a little time before that and had grown to love and respect them .Pete may have had his hardways his tough sense of humor but you knew that he was your friend because he took the time to know you and keep you in his life by one means or another. He was very hard-working and he had some crews that were hard-working behind him, we enjoyed it, it was always interesting and crazy at times and some long nights but we got the jobs done and learned a lot. He will be missed and always remembered.

When you think of Pete, so many words come to mind to describe him; big, generous, larger than life, hard working but his most important virtue was his love of family.

He always told me that he never spent much time with his kids when they were growing up.  He said he was always working and missed a lot of memories.  He had only half regret when talking about it because in his heart he was paving the way through hard work to provide for his family.  Not just the immediate needs but long term goals to assure everyone was blessed with a good life.
He liked to work, it kept his mind busy in a way that was familiar to him.  I know that as children you would have probably wished for more time with him.  But now as everyone has grown, it is evident that his plan was always meant for family.  To give you a future. To provide for you, even when he is not here anymore.  

Pete never ceased to amaze me.  In addition to his family, he was always helping others he be friended through his life.  He didn’t love EVERYONE, but if he loved you, he really did.   He took care of so many people in his lifetime.  He didn’t have to love any of us but he did!

And now he’s gone but his spirit will live on.  I will miss him forever, but he has found peace.  If anyone in this lifetime deserves peace it is Peter Pino.  


To the man that raised me. Biologically I may not be his, but blood or not he was my dad, my “Pedro”, I was his and he was mine. I got my favorite color from him, and definitely my stubbornness and in the end our stubbornness stole away some of our time. But that’s neither here or there. He was there for every part of my childhood. Dance recitals, waiting with flowers, family math nights (saving the day because me and mom are terrible at math), Halloween carving pumpkins, sitting as my audience as I would preform my dance routines (dark humor joking I should have a pole in my bedroom which I never got until later in life). He introduced me to wrestling where id use my “coupons” to stay up late, taught me how to shoot a gun, and a sad attempt at golf. He took me on vacations showing me parts of the world most kids at my age never got a chance to see, took me and my friends out on the boat, letting us sit on his lap to “drive”, my 7th birthday in Disney letting my friend wear his leather jacket chanting “I’m cool, I’m cool.” He sat as my “student” when a young me would play teacher driving me crazy by making every picture he drew with their tongues sticking out. Every Christmas for years we got a sneak peak at the Festival of Lights riding in hay rides because he was a sponsor, the magical “Pino family Christmases” sometimes in Disney sometimes in st Augustine. My childhood wouldn’t be my childhood without him.  He was the strongest man I’ve ever met, putting anyone half his age to shame, yard work, working in warehouses, nothing slowed him down. Besides being the strongest he was also the most hardworking. He was a provider, a father and a friend. To know him is to love him, rough around the edges or not he had a heart of gold. So to the man who raised me, I love you and thank you for everything. Our Angel 👼
