I had the pleasure of meeting Ralph Colon through his wonderful wife Jo. Such a loving family man. I give my sincere condolences to his family. May you  know my thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Lots of great memories with Jo and Ralph.  Will always remember the good times.

We have had the pleasure of knowing the Colon family for over 40 years.  He was a genuinely caring man.  He was a wonderful family man, a great husband to Jo, father to Linda, Patty and Glenn.  He loved his grandchildren.  It had been a few years since my family has seen him but updates from Linda were always available.  He will be greatly missed. Uncle Ralph has always been one of my favorite uncles since I was a young boy, being my dad Bill Colon's younger brother. One of my favorite family pictures of Uncle Ralph is a picture taken when I was about 3 years old, sitting on his lap, with my older brother Philip standing next to us. Hard to believe that was probably taken around 55 years ago.  Always polite and soft spoken, I never heard Uncle Ralph say anything unpleasant about anyone. I recall when he came to visit me here in Hawaii about 10 years ago, he recently had by-pass heart surgery. But that didn't stop him from hiking all the way up Diamond Head along with me, Aunt Jo and Aunt Mercedes. We all had a great time together which ended in a memorable sunset dinner on the beach at the Hau Tree Lanai restaraunt in Waikiki. The last time I got to see Uncle Ralph was almost 3 years ago when me and my family came back to Florida to visit. Although he was moving a little slower, Uncle Ralph was still quick to flash that great smile of his, especially around my then 7 year old daughter Kayla who he hadn't seen since she was a baby. Kayla quickly warmed up to him and to Aunt Jo. We talked about the two of them making another trip to Hawaii someday and had a wonderful time for that short afternoon together. Ralph's service to his country and to his community exemplified his caring and selfless character. We will always remember his kindness towards our family, and will cherish the many holiday gatherings we spent with Ralph. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Dear Jo... We have truly enjoyed and still cherish every occasion that we were able to get together with you and Ralph, whether in South Florida, Orlando or out in Montana.  We feel blessed that our Dan was able to find such a wonderful (thanks to you & Ralph) girl, wife and mother as Patti.  Though we'll certainly miss Ralph, we still hope to enjoy visiting with you whenever we are close.  Much love, Mark & Joan

So sorry.  Just heard about Ralph this week.  He will be missed.  Remembering all of his community involvement with American Legion, St. Vincent Men's Club, Knights of Columbus and serving on city board.  Mostly his work with the youth through the Legion.  May he red in peace

Whenever I think of a loving family, I think of Ralph and Jo Colon's. As the Papa of this wonderful family, he set a high standard of respectability, love, religious life, donations to the community, dedication to his country, and so many outstanding attributes.  We were truly blessed to have him in our lives. We will greatly miss him, but are so thankful to have known this funny, lively, kind, gentle, intelligent man.

To one of our dearest friends with whom we shared many a good time  at the Legion affairs, and parties over the years.  These will be remembered, especially the bowling club that you beat us in. Ralph was a caring, generous person, always there for you. He will be greatly missed,

Uncle Ralph  was always a very calm and gentle man. Loved his family, and served his country faithfully.  We will miss you..  Aunt Jo we are praying for you in the days ahead.  We love you, Andy, Elaine and Jamie.

We had great times together. I was so happy that you were able to be Robert's Godfather.  Remember when we use to listen to the scary shows on the radio with the lights out. Ralph Colon was an excellent Traffic Signal Engineer with whom I had the pleasure to work with and learned a lot from him. He was heavly involved in maitaning Broward county traffic coordination UTCS system installed back in the 1970's and thru many decades still is operating on some parts of the county...I will always remeber him as great person...God bless...Miguel.

Ralph was one of the nicest people we ever met. He was very involved with the American Legion and actually got my husband Rich to join Post 157 when we moved here. He will be missed. Rich & Andrea Koss
