

Raymond Slowinski, 92, of Coral Springs passed away on April 21st 2025. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17th located at Kraeer Funeral Home at 1655 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL. 33065. (954) 753-8960.
Ray was born on September 10th, 1932, in Boston Massachusetts to Christine Urban Slowinski and William Slowinski. He was a Coral Springs resident since 1972 where he relocated from La Habra, California.
Ray was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Ray first served as an enlisted man and then as an officer with the rank of Captain. Ray was a flight engineer aboard the B36 Bomber. While in the Air Force Reserves, Ray attended the University of Texas at El Paso. He graduated with a degree in engineering with minors in physics and mathematics.
In 1961, Ray married Janet Marjorie Bertrand in El Paso, TX and they enjoyed 49 wonderful years together until Janet’s passing in 2010.
Ray worked as an engineer for North American Rockwell (now Boeing) in Anaheim, CA until 1972. His expertise brought him to work at Motorola in Sunrise, FL where he settled in Coral Springs. He retired from Motorola and moved on to become the President of Interplex Technologies in New Haven, CT where he worked until he finally retired 11 years later and moved back to Coral Springs. During his working years Ray developed patented technological products and processes, authored publications, and received various awards in the technological industry.
Ray loved soccer. In his spare time, Ray served as a coach, referee, referee assigner, and referee assessor for the state of Florida. Ray’s service was honored in the Florida Referee Hall of Fame.
Ray also served as a member of the Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge 107 in Darien, CT for over 35 years.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Lynn Slowinski Voyer and husband, David Kenneth Voyer, of Cumming, GA, and son, William Wilson Slowinski of Coral Springs, FL. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Sarah Lynn Voyer and Coty James Voyer.
Ray will surely be missed. Ray's kindness and goodwill made an impression on many people. He was a wonderful guide and mentor for many. The world certainly was a better place with him in it..
