He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Sons of Italy. Since Sal enjoyed staying busy, it is no surprise that he was also active in the Men’s Group that organized the week-long celebration of “Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Feast Day.” In his “down time,” Sal could be found building something like a pool table or short-wave radio. However, everything came second because his family came first.
Salvatore is preceded in death by his long-time partner, Jennie Bruno; siblings, Victoria Capaldi (Philip), Michael DeLuca (Carolyn), Antionette DeSalvatore (Ted), Vincent DeLuca (Marion), and Concetta “Connie” Mascio (Terry); and nephew, Eugene. He is survived by his son, Salvatore A. DeLuca (Teresa); grandchildren, Tyler G. Helms (Jessica), Haley R. Helms (Julian Bell), Alexander N. DeLuca (Bayley), Madison A. DeLuca (Mairead Murray), Frank Bruno Jr., Courtney Ryals (Jason), Jenny Bruno, and Sarah Bruno; great-grandchildren, Brennan N. Bell, Oliver T. Helms, Abigail M. Helms, Frank Bruno III, Amanda Ryals, Justin Ryals, Jackson Sharpe, and Evan Parker; great-great-grandchild, Journey Ryals; and numerous nieces and nephews including Mary, Dominick, Michael Jr., Rose Marie, Donna, Laura, Vincent Jr., Rachel, Mary, Teresa, and Enrico.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11am at Greenmount Cemetery, 10 S. 1st Rd, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
