Scott McNair Poole

REVEREND DR. SCOTT MCNAIR POOLE, 97, joined our Lord Jesus Christ and that great cloud of witnesses on October 1, 2018, after running with perseverance and grace in the race marked out for him. He is survived by his cherished wife of 64 years Rosalie, sons Scott (Teresa) Poole, Jr., and Peter Poole, grandson Knox Poole along with many loving nephews, nieces and cousins. After serving in the Army Air Corps in WW II, he graduated from Davidson College, Union Theological Seminary and Columbia Theological Seminary with a doctorate degree specializing in church development. In over 60 years as a pastor, he served churches in North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas and West Virginia. He is gratefully remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle and spiritual servant. A celebration of life service will be 12 Noon,Thursday, October 11, 2018., at North Creek Presbyterian Church 4601 NW 71 Place, Coconut Creek, Fl., 33073 with a reception in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. Family requests contributions be made to North Creek Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice in his loving memory.
