Shannon Elizabeth Pariaug, 34, died on May 8, 2017. Shannon was born in Minnesota but lived in Gaborone, Botswana until her family settled in Coral Springs in 1996. Shannon is a graduate of the University of Florida. (GO GATORS!) She lived in Atlanta after college, where she worked in Starbuck’s marketing department and met the love of her life, Charley. She returned to Coral Springs permanently in 2008 and married her “bunny” in 2013.
Shannon loved her family and friends with all of her heart. She will be remembered for her stunning smile and her unyielding kindness. She radiated warmth and generosity in the most difficult of circumstances and could light up a room with her presence. We will always remember her strength, courage, and eternal optimism. Shannon rooted for the Florida Gators, the Indianapolis Colts, and people working to cure triple negative breast cancer. All of them disappointed her to varying degrees over the last few years.
Shannon is survived by her husband, Charley; her parents, Terry and Liz; and her brother Shawn and his wife Melissa; her brother Chris and his wife Sam; her sister Nadine and her husband Kobe; her nieces and nephews, Ayaan, Arianna, Kya, Jada, and Landon; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her beloved puppy, Gabby. Shannon also maintained an international network of close friends, all of whom are devastated by her loss. She will be profoundly missed.
To honor Shannon’s life and memory, we ask that family and friends support the organizations she held close to her heart. Shannon had a lifelong love of children and animals, and she identified deeply with the missions of the following organizations:
