Steven Paul Bograd passed away on December 6th 2018 after a long and extremely hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on February 21st, 1950 in Jackson Heights, NY to Lester and Sue Bograd. He was raised in Flushing, NY and graduated from Flushing High School where he met his future wife Rita. A standout athlete, Steve went on to play basketball at Nassau Community College, and later graduated from Richmond College. After several stops around New York and New Hampshire, he eventually settled in Coral Springs, FL in 1987 to raise his family. He spent the majority of his career in medical device sales and sales management. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, an amazing son and brother, and the best friend that anyone could have. He was an avid runner and swimmer into his 60’s, and could usually be found doing something outdoors in his free time. In addition to Rita, Steve is survived by his loving children-daughter Dana Ford (Matt) of Coral Springs, FL, and son Adam Bograd (Fernanda) of Clyde Hill, WA; Grandchildren Olivia, Lucas and Stella; Brothers Barry and Neal. In addition to his family, he is also survived by many close friends in New York and Florida, including his best friend of 60 years, Rich Selby (Linda), whom he considered his brother. We will miss him dearly, but take comfort in knowing that he is with his parents again.
