Virginia was born in Brooklyn, New York to Thomas and Regina Gardner on December 16, 1944. She moved to Long Island as a young child. Virginia moved to Florida in 1970. She spent many years working as a bank teller. She was involved in Girl Scouting for many years. She was a leader for her daughter’s troops.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Regina (Gibbs) Gardner, her aunt Ana Gibbs, her sister Ruth (Gardner) Sheridan, and her niece Roni Lynn (Sheridan) DiBlasi.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Kim and Henri Werner, Deanna and John Sinks, her grandchildren, Justin Werner, Katie Sinks, Kylee Werner, and Thomas Sinks.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 7th from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home in Coral Springs. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 7th at 3:00 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home in Coral Springs. Burial will be on Monday, July 8th at Our Lady Queen of Heaven cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as this charity was very near and dear to Virginia’s heart.
