Wayne is predeceased by his loving wife of over 67 years, Alma Jane Schwartzer and he is survived by his children Jeff, Lynn and Michael; grandchildren Ryan and Meredith and great-grandchildren Charlotte and Jack. He also leaves behind the pets of the family Benny, Ace and Ruby.
Wayne was born on July 11, 1935, in North Wales, Pennsylvania to Carl and Ruth Schwartzer.
He attended North Wales High School where he was an active member of the soccer team, played the saxophone in the school band, and participated in the student government association.
Wayne married his high school sweetheart, Janie. She was still his sweetheart after 67 years of marriage.
Wayne proudly served his country in the Army and then worked for the government and in the oil industry.
His dedication to the community involved over 60 years of service with the Masonic Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania.
Wayne was truly a gentleman's gentleman, leaving behind a legacy of devotion and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Graveside service will occur on Friday August 15, 2025 at 10:30 AM at South Florida National Cemetery – 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
