

Bill was born in East Rochester, NY to Harry and Anna (Kostick) Spinder on July 21, 1933. He graduated from East Rochester High School and went on to serve with the Air Force during the Korean War. He then attended college on the GI Bill and earned his undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo and a Master’s in Education from Nazareth University. He taught Special Education in the Rochester City School District. He passionately pursued life’s adventures and enjoyed competing in a multitude of sports, most notably triathlons, marathons, skiing, mountain climbing and flying. Bill was a prolific writer and competed in the Florida Senior Games.
Bill is predeceased by his parents Harry and Anna and his siblings, John and Henry Spinder and Alice Klem. Bill is survived by his children, Douglas Spinder (Carla), Lindsay Ferrin and Gregory Spinder (Jill), his grandchildren, John Ferrin (Samantha), Michael, Olivia, Chelsea and Sydney Spinder and great grandchildren, Eloise and Josephine Ferrin. Bill also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as his special family, “Team World”.
At Bill’s request, there will be no prior calling. Arrangements are by Kraeer Funeral Home.
