Jeannette Pauline Martel

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Jeannette Pauline Martel (née Boileau) with family by her side at Carefor Hospice Cornwall on Friday April 3, 2026, at the age of 81.

Beloved wife of the late Richard Martel. Loving mother of Jean Martel (Alanna), Diane Poirier and the late Brigitte Martel. Cherished grandmother of: Bryce, Aaron, Meyer and Rowan. Treasured sister of Richard Boileau (late Lise) and Doreen Secours (Maurice).

Jeannette is predeceased by her parents Albert and Yvonne (née Montsion) Boileau; as well as her brothers: Leo Boileau (late Pauline), Theodore Boileau (late Rogene), Henri Boileau, Paul Boileau (Marguerite), Lucien Boileau (late Aldona), Edgar Boileau (late Marie) and Marcel Boileau (late Jeannine).

Family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN EAST BRANCH 614 FIRST STREET EAST, CORNWALL, ON (613-933-2841) on Wednesday April 8, 2026, between the hours of 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM. As well as on Thursday April 9, 2026, between the hours of 9:00AM to 10:30AM.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Felix de Valois Church (620 Glengarry Blvd, Cornwall, ON K6H 6E7) on Thursday April 9, 2026, at 11:00AM.

Cremation to follow; interment at Notre Dame Cemetery to take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Carefor Hospice Cornwall, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
