FILION, Laurin - on November 28, 2016 at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital; age 91 years. Beloved husband of Thérèse (née Lefebvre) Filion. Loving father of Rhéal Filion (Anne), Claudette Chénier (Marcel), Françoise Sabourin (Jacques) and Joanne Chénier (Jacques). Dear grandfather of Chantal Chénier, Raymond Chénier, Daniel Sabourin, Jean Sabourin (Emilie), Denis Chénier (Anik Lalonde), Patrick Chénier, Sylvieanne (Shawn) and Marc (Jennifer). Cherished great-grandfather of Latisha, Jonah, Adam, Cléa, Sophie, Luciano and Sophie. Brother of Hubert Filion (Shirley), Ronald Filion (Marie-Claire), Marcel Filion (Solange), Roy Filion (Claudette), Simone O'Connor (Godfrey), Diane Patenaude (Jacques) and Joan Cunningham. Predeceased by his parents Hilaire and Blanche (née Roy) Filion. Also predeceased by his siblings Aurèle Filion (late Marion), Raymond Filion (Lucille), Pauline Lauzon (late Paul), Annette Cain (late Robert) and Gail Roy (Charley). Laurin will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First street East (613-933- 2841) on Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Funeral Saturday, December 3, 2016 for Mass of Christian Burial in Saint-Félix-de-Valois at 11 a.m. Followed by Cremation.
