Maurice "Moe" Groulx

GROULX, Maurice “Moe” – it is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Maurice “Moe” on Tuesday February 17, 2026 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 90 years. Maurice was the beloved husband and best friend of Françoise Groulx (née Sabourin), with whom he shared sixty-one devoted and loving years. Loving father of Denis (Lynne), Alain (Chantal) and Julie. Cherished grandfather of Patrick (Stacy), Tyler (Lilly), Mathieu, Lindsay, Emilie (Brandon), Josée and step-grandfather to Jennifer (Tyler) and Jessie (Garret). Dear step-great-grandfather to Rylan, Isla and Quinton. Moe is survived by his brother André (Joanne) and sister-in-law Liette. Predeceased by his parents Ubald and Annaisse (née Comtois) Groulx and by his siblings Noel, Edna, Gisele and Conrad.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First St. East, (613-933-2841). A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday February 28, 2026 at 11 a.m. in St. Félix de Valois Church. A spring interment will be held in Nativity Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
