LEGER, Rita (née Martin) – passed away peacefully at Chartwell Lancaster surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 27, 2017; age 80 years. Wife of the late Marcel Léger Sr. Predeceased by her son Marcel Léger Jr. Dear mother of André Léger (Dominique) and Anne Gravelle (Marcel). Loving grandmother of Célèste, Julien and Mireille. Dear daughter of the late Donat and Cécile (née Godard) Martin. Survived by her siblings Reynald Martin (Pauline), Sylvia Desjardins and Michel Martin (Diane). Rita will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A special thank you to Father Halle and all the staff at Chartwell Lancaster for the amazing care they gave to our mom Rita. The family will be in attendance at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841) from 9 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Chartwell Lancaster Volunteers would be appreciated by the family.
