Jim was born in Great Falls, Montana and raised in Spokane, Washington. He graduated WSU with degrees in architecture and engineering. He is survived by sister Ruth Cummings & brother Eugene R Young of Spokane, daughters Peggy Martin of Mission Viejo, CA and Jackie Franklin of Murrieta, CA, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was very proud to have served in the 42nd Rainbow Div. in Europe during WWII. He worked in the Aerospace industry for over 36 years. Jim enjoyed square dancing, woodworking, traveling, playing cards, figuring out how things worked and spending time with his friends and family.
A military service with honors will be held at a later date at the Riverside National Cemetery.
