Born on December 8, 1931, in Croton-on-Hudson, Tony was a lifelong member of the community he loved. He graduated from Croton-Harmon High School in 1950 before proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Tony dedicated his professional life to hard work and service. He was employed as a printer for the New York Post for 45 years and also served the Croton-Harmon School District as a bus driver for 38 years. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to others.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Margee; his daughters, Mary Margaret (Rich) and Patricia; his cherished grandchildren, Irene (Liz) and Michael; and his treasured grand "furbabies," Koda, Mickie, Georgia, Elliott, and Freddy, who brought him great joy.
Tony was a man of quiet strength—a "quiet spitfire" whose kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, including long walks, cooking for those he loved, and cheering on his favorite teams, the New York Giants and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. A faithful Roman Catholic, his faith remained an important part of his life.
One of Tony's greatest sources of pride was his extraordinary commitment to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, where he volunteered with the Columbian Hook and Ladder Company for more than 75 years. His decades of dedicated service reflected his deep love for his community and his desire to help others whenever he could.
