

Daniel Patrick Rothrock, 40, of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on February 15, 2026. Born on July 28, 1985, in Mount Kisco, Daniel was the beloved son of Alice (Mariano) Rothrock and the late Robert Rothrock.
Daniel was a proud graduate of Croton-Harmon High School, where he excelled in wrestling. He was recognized as the Most Outstanding Wrestler for Section One, won the sectional title, and was ranked Number 11 in New York State. His determination on the mat reflected the strength, intelligence, and passion he carried throughout his life.
For 11 years, Daniel worked for Metro-North Railroad, where he was admired for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Above all, Daniel’s greatest love was his family. His devotion to his wife, daughter, and extended family was unwavering and fierce. He cherished the deep bonds he shared not only with relatives here in New York, but also with the family and close friends of his wife, who became like his own family. He loved to travel, and Colombia was one of his favorite places. He especially loved the beach, where he felt most at peace. He was a huge fan of the New York Yankees.
Daniel had a brilliant mind and a love for learning. He loved history and was a walking history encyclopedia. He spoke English, Spanish, and Italian fluently, and had a natural talent for languages. He was very smart, curious, and always eager to learn. He also loved pizza, especially pepperoni, and even started making his own at home.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Camila Gracia Rothrock; his beloved daughter, Violeta Rothrock; his mother, Alice Rothrock; his siblings, Denise Grasso, Donna Zoller (Mark), Anthony Grasso (Shannon), and Jessica Ruffolo (Vincent); stepsister, Courtney Moore; his father- and mother-in-law, Camilo Gracia and Leonor Bello; his sister-in-law, Laura Gracia; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Justin, Katelyn, Samantha, Alesandra, Vincent, Jr., Michael, and Lindsay.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Rothrock, and his brother, Robert Stanley Rothrock, III.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00–8:00 PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Mary Church.
Daniel will always be remembered for his strength, intelligence, humor, linguistic talent, and the fierce love he had for his family and friends. His warmth, curiosity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
