Geraldine McDermott Pender

Geraldine McDermott Pender, a resident of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on June 14, 2026. She was 80 years old. Gerri was born on May 18, 1946 in Bronx, NY to the late Thomas and Mary Jane (Bohan) McDermott. Before retirement, she worked for many years as a Tax Accountant for Patterson, Belnapp, Webb & Tyler Law Offices in New York, NY. She was an avid animal lover, especially dogs, Charlie her beloved beagle. She was a devoted Catholic, loved to attend Mass at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton-on-Hudson. She was a great cook, avid reader and a killer Sudoku player. She had a great interest in politics and enjoyed her time with her devoted husband, Sean.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Sean and her 3 nieces Teresa McDermott, Rosie Di Lorenzo, Clare Spencer.

She was predeceased by her brother Dermod and her brother Tom McDermott.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17th from 2-5pm at Edward F Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, June 18th at 10am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A private burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY.
