It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Marion C. Madison’s passing in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, on August 3, 2026, at the age of 93. Marion, who was born on December 20, 1932, to Delmar and Corene Kearsley, dedicated her life to the field of education, serving as a teacher in the Ardsley School District and various other educational institutions. After retiring, she graciously volunteered her time at the Bear Mountain Toll Bridge/Tourist Center and with Compeer International, provided companionship to individuals facing mental health challenges.
Marion is survived by her son Michael Madison, her son-in-law Joseph Galm, her two sisters Janet Dansbury and Henrietta Hines, four grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers Delmar, Joseph and Henry Kearsley; her daughter Melissa Ann Madison and her former husband, William Madison.
Our hearts go out to Marion’s family and loved ones during this challenging time. Let us come together to honor her memory and celebrate her extraordinary life.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-9pm on Friday, August 7th at Edward F Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A funeral service is scheduled on Saturday, August 8th at 10am at Asbury United Methodist Church, 17 Old Post Road South, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, 43 Old Post Rd S, Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10520.
