Mary K. Santella

She was a graduate of Croton-Harmon high school. She worked for many years as a cashier at the Grand Union in Croton. She was a member of the Holy Name of Mary Altar Rosary Society and the Holy Name of Mary choir. She was a long-time member of the Croton Senior Citizens club and she volunteered at Phelps Memorial Hospital for many years. She was honored as Volunteer of the year at Phelps and as Senior of the year by the Croton senior citizens. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary always had a smile on her face and was always willing to help other around her.

She is survived by her sons Benny, Jr (Karen), John (Lynn) & Joseph, her daughter Patricia (Ron) Martinson, nine grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Benny.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 24th from 4-8pm at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, July 25th at 10am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. Interment to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Hawkes Avenue, Ossining, NY 10562.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
