Thelma Elaine Redding

Thelma Elaine Redding of Croton-on-Hudson passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the age of 86. Thelma was born to the late Goler and Virginia (Ward) Beckwith on January 4, 1935 in Craven County, North Carolina. Thelma married her beloved husband Lt. Col. Arthur Redding on August 30, 1955. Thelma and Arthur were married until his passing in September 1985. Thelma loved her time traveling through Europe as a military wife. Her favorite places included Italy, Holland and France while her family was stationed in Germany. Thelma volunteered in her free time with many organizations. She was an ardent volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Thelma is survived by her loving children Sharon Redding, Carla Rose Hamler, and Brian Redding (Ellen), by her cherished grandchildren Kiana Hamler, Jamie Palazzo, and Tyler Redding, and by 2 great grandchildren. Thelma is also survived by her siblings Goler Van Beckwith Jr., Charles Ray Beckwith, Lenetta Lee, and Yvonne Jordan and by many nieces and nephews. Thelma is predeceased by her brothers Bartholomew Beckwith, Gary Vincent Beckwith. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Thelma’s honor to Meals on Wheels.
