Agatha Theresa Fernandez

Aggie is the loving wife to the late Antonio C. Fernandez; beloved mother to Antonio Fernandez III, Lino (Thomas Couch) Fernandez; Genise (Ron) Titak, Genine Fernandez and Angela (Todd) Earley; proud grandmother to 12; great-grandmother to 10; cherished sister to Edward (Deborah) Sosa, Linda (Heriberto) Zamora, Diane (Felix) Cervantes, and Adele (John Paul) Cherry; aunt to many, and dog mom to her canine companion, Coco.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leobardo Sosa and Herlinda Hernandez Sosa; and siblings, Genevieve Sosa, Leobardo Sosa, Jr., Richard Sosa and James Sosa.

Aggie was an office manager in the healthcare field for many years and a proponent of ensuring all women receive safe and affordable healthcare. She was a passionate and avid reader, interested in many genres from history, romance and sci-fi.

Aggie was a doting grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, always making time to attend their events and activities, and cheering from the seats and sidelines. She was especially close to her eldest two grandchildren, Michelle (Matthew) Malinowski and Jennifer (William) Bozak, who will always hold a special place in her heart.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Funeral services will be directly at the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
