Albert "Oz" A. Nichels

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maxine Nichels; daughter, Connie (John) Martz; grandchildren, Kim (Mike) Colaiacovo, Kerry Roell and Angie (Mike) DiSabato; great grandchildren, Paige, Caelan, Jenna, Cierra, Michael, Austin, Cassidy, Savannah, Joey and Damon; sister in law, Eleanor Nichels and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Rudolf and Gladys Nichels and siblings, Roy Nichels, Ray Nichels and Grace Sell.

Oz was born on July 10, 1925 in Chicago, IL and was raised in Highland, IN. He proudly served our country in the US Army. He retired as a plumber at the age of 80. He and Maxine enjoyed Nascar racing, camping, boating and the great outdoors. Oz was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Rev. Tim Powers officiating.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
