Ann Marie Szara

Ann Marie Szara, age 63, of Crown Point, IN, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Larry Szara; children: Chris (Julie) Szara, Leigh (fiancé Joshua) Szara and Katelynn Szara; grandchildren: Cambrie and Jaxen Szara; brothers: John Seibt, Larry Seibt, Pat Seibt, Timmy Seibt and Danny Seibt; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Ann was born on March 2, 1954 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Connie Seibt and was a 1972 graduate of Carl Sandberg High School. She went on to earn her BA in Art Education from Eastern Illinois University and worked at various Chicagoland schools for over 20 years teaching her students the importance of art in their lives. Ann loved doing art projects with the kids, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family, friends and her canine companion, Sophie. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 7:30 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Schererville, IN) with Rev. Peter J. Muha officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 3:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
