

ARLENE BRADLEY OF CROWN POINT, age 79, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2016 with her loving family at her side. Arlene was born March 12, 1936 in Hammond, Indiana to the late: Walter and Anna (Sum) Ribicki. Also preceding her in death are her daughter, Cindi Bagan, who passed in 2006; and two sisters: Virginia and Marilyn. Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, Donald Bradley; children: Beth (Ken) Callender, Brian (Kristin) Bradley, Amy (Ron) Lesniewski, and Kathleen; 14 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Bradley was a Hammond High School graduate of 1954, and with encouragement from her family she received her bachelor's degree from Purdue University Calumet in 1990. She retired from The Griffith Public School System, as the Cafeteria Coordinator, with over 20 years of service. She was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Crown Point, where Arlene was an active member of the Altar and Rosary societies. She was also an active member and volunteer with the Southlake YMCA, and a fifty year member of GFWC. Above all her achievements, she was a loving and generous caretaker for her family. Visitation will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375). A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church (321 E. Joliet St.; Crown Point, Indiana 46307). Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. According to Arlene's wishes memorials may be given towards the St. Jude's Ranch for Abused children, 100 St. Jude St.; Boulder City, NV 89005 or Share Foundation, 6357 N. 300 E.; LaPorte, Indiana 46350.
