Arstella W Johnson

Johnson, Arstella Wiggins Of Merrillville, IN, age 90, passed away September 21, 2013. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: George Johnson, Jr., Betty Borom, Jennifer (Michael) McLucas, Eric (Janet) Johnson and one daughter-in-law, Linda Johnson; all of Indiana; 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Mae Johnson of Chattanooga, TN and Annabell Barnes of Maretta, GA; one brother, Charlie J. Wiggins of Tunnel Springs, AL; one godbrother, William (Nora) Stallworth of Cartersville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church families. Arstella received her Practical Nursing degree, was an excellent seamstress and loved to quote poetry. Evangelist Johnson was a member of Bible Way Apostolic Church of Gary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George L. Johnson, Sr. and son, Larry C. Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave Schererville, IN). Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, September 28th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
