Bette L. Milburn

Bette L. Milburn, age 83, of Crown Point, IN (formerly of South Holland, IL), passed away on August 6, 2026. She is survived by her son, John Schrik; granddaughter, Haley (Andrew) Troupos; great-grandchildren, Kinley, Aella, Jonah, and Callum; and siblings, Lenora, and Dennis.

Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Milburn; and her son, Steve Schrik.

Memorial visitation will be held August 20, 2026, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN, from 1:00 - 1:45 pm. Committal service and burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Above all, Bette was a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose greatest joy was her family. She treasured traveling with her husband, Carl, creating memories together wherever they went. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her great-grandchildren, especially taking them on unforgettable trips to Disney World. Bette lived a beautiful and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
