BETTY SUE GRIFFITH (NEE PRICE) HAMMOND, IN Betty Sue Griffith (nee Price), age 81 of Hammond, IN, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013. She is survived by her two sons: James (Charlotte) Griffith and Joe Griffith; six grandchildren: Scott (Tori) Griffith, Bill (Nikki) Griffith, Rachel Griffith, Becky Griffith, Lexi Griffith and Madi Griffith; three great grandchildren: Dominick, Lauren and Jacie; brother, Ted Moody; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; and son, Joe Shawn. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Pastor Roy Moffitt officiating. Interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. (time of service) at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Griffith was a member of First Baptist Church of Hammond, IN. She resided at the Wittenberg Village in Crown Point, IN for the past two years.
