Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Kenneth Ogden; her parents, Martha and Roy Elkins; and her siblings, Jeanette, Joyce, Bill, and Unity.
She is survived by her loving children; sons, Kevin (Noreen) Ogden and Jamie Ogden; and daughter, Linda (Frank) Kostelnik; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy.
Betty cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed the companionship of her friends at her assisted living community. She especially delighted in watching game shows, which brought her many happy moments.
A visitation will be held on January 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
