Camille was the loving wife to the late Edward Mann; sister to Donna Adams and Janice Mitchell; aunt to Daniel (Amy) Hayes and Tamara Kruse; great-aunt to Spencer Hayes, Alex (Ari) Hayes and Margaret (Ben) Kroeger; godmother to Jenifer Pollak-Meyer and Tyrie James, as well as numerous cousins and second-cousins.
She was a life-long resident of Northwest Indiana. Camille graduated from Merrillville High School. She began her career with Sunbeam Lighting and then went on to National Steel as an executive secretary, where she won an award for her outstanding performance. In the early 1970s, she left National Steel and took a position at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Her work ethic, good business sense, and charming personality helped her excel in her new position.
Camille was also very active socially. She was a member of the Midwest Toast Mistress Club, Council # 6. She was a member of Northwest Indiana Center for Visual and Performing Arts of Munster. She was also a member of Northwest Indiana Symphony women's group (WANISS). Camille was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Munster. She will always be remembered as being extremely talented. Camille was an accomplished artist, poet, excellent cook, and gracious hostess. Camille was an elegant lady who shared her passions with everyone she met. Camille liked to share her many blessings with those who were less fortunate, and her generosity will not be forgotten.
Visitation and a Celebration of her Life will be held, Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. She will be entombed at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
