

Carl L. Manley, age 86, of Crown Point, passed away peacefully at his residence, with his loving wife at his side. Carl was born January 8, 1930, in Nowata, Oklahoma to the late Emery L. and Esther L. Manley. Also preceding him in death are his four sisters. Left to cherish memory are his loving wife for over forty years, Hazel (Howard) Manley; children, Emery (late Karen) Manley, James (Joyce) Manley, Carl Lee Manley, Sherri (Tim) Holzhauer, Lisa (Curtis) Early; grandchildren, Amanda Manley, Tina Barnes, Venissa (Eric) Ivasiecko, Joseph Manley, Hope Manley, Catherine (Derek) Shea, Rebecca Ann Manley, Brian Lee Manley, Heather Holzhauer, Tiffany Holzhauer, Holly Thackston, Brandon Arena, Brady Arena; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Lila "Chuck" Dikeman. He retired after 37 years of service at Michigan/Wisconsin Pipeline in St. John, Indiana. He also was an owner/operator of Manley Contracting in Crown Point with his sons. Carl was an impeccable family man, and a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed teaching his sons the construction business and taught all of his family values by example. Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 10:00 am until time of his funeral service at 11:00 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S.
