Cecilia Steinman (nee Janaszak), 97, of Schererville, IN passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She is survived by her son, Arthur "Buddy" (Beverly) Steinman; sister, Helen Murphy; granddaughter, Heidi; and numberous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Steinman was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Steinman; parents, Joseph and Josephine Janaszak; brother, Bernard Janaszak; three sisters: Genevieve Hradek, Isabelle Panczuk, and Pearl Hooper.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (please meet at the funeral home).
Cecilia loved her family and was devoted to her husband and son.
