Charles L. "Chuck" Wall, age 81, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Though he was a humble man, Chuck's presence was always deeply felt, especially in church, joyfully praising the Lord with all his heart. He also enjoyed watching sports on television and was a devoted Cubs fan.
Chuck was a resident of Crown Point and a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana. Above all else, Chuck was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and faithful man whose strength, kindness, and steady presence touched the lives of many.
He shared 62 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life and is survived by his wife, Mary Wall. Together, they built a family grounded in love, faith, and commitment.
Chuck was the proud father of John Wall, who preceded him in death in 2013; and is survived by his daughter, Darla (Bob) Winland; son, Breck Wall; and sister, Patty Chapin.
He was also a cherished grandfather to Thano Liodos, Charles (Katerina) Liodos, Andreas Liodos, Christopher Wall, and Jeremy (Courtney) Wall, and the proud great-grandfather of Riley Wall and Savvina Liodos. His family was his greatest blessing, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles L. Wall, Sr.; mother, Thelma Wall; brothers, Bill Wall and Larry Wall; and his beloved son, John Wall.
Chuck was a hardworking man who spent his working life in the flooring business. He started laying carpet for Carpetland, and then went on to own his own flooring installation business, Faith Carpets, and a flooring supply business, Floor Covering Supplies. He used his strong work ethic and flooring skills to help numerous people, and he selflessly gave the church community his help and time.
This charitable work took him to Belgium and other cities in the United States. He never said no to a request for help. He also participated in a missionary trip to Guatemala and loved sharing memories of that meaningful experience.
Chuck was a devoted lifelong member and Deacon of Hessville Assembly of God Church, now known as LifePoint Church. His faith was the foundation of his life. He served his church and congregation selflessly for many years and deeply loved his church family. Chuck was known for his generous spirit and compassionate heart. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith in God, humility, kindness, and steadfast devotion to his family and others.
Though his family's hearts are heavy with loss, they find comfort in knowing Chuck is now at peace in the presence of the Lord and reunited with those who went before him. His love, wisdom, and faithful example will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23
