Connie May Ballard

She was born to Arthur and Dorothy Georg on September 5, 1951 in Lansing, IL. She was a housewife, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Great-Great Grandma. Connie enjoyed traveling with her husband Bob, reading her Bible, spending time with her children and grandchildren and meeting up for dinners with cousins Jerry and Rene. Connie was of the Pentecostal faith.

Connie is survived by the love her life; husband Bob, her daughter Elsie Ashley of Hammond, IN; stepchildren Donna (Reyes) Garcia of Orlando, FL, Robbie (Virgil) Miller of Evansville, IN, Robert of Evansville, IN, Katrenna (Jeff) Spires of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Jonathan Ashley, Sarah Ashley, Brandon Ashley, Shawn Ashley, Maria Willem, Reyes Jr. Garcia, Christina Garcia, Anthony Garcia, Marc Garcia, Clay Marcuson, Maureen Adams, Justin Spires, Brittany Spires, Sonny Omar, Abby Ballard, Andrea Ballard, Gideon Schimmel; great-grandchildren, Melonie, Mariah, Payton, Mandy, Eric, Angela, Mikiel, Malik, Jude, Megan, Zachary (serving our Country in the Navy), Emily, Gabriel, Carter, Lilli, Bella, Desmond, Mina William, Jordon, Michael (serving our Country in the Navy), Rohm, Aleyah, Amira, Noor, NAada, Mohammad, Audrey, Annabella, Aliegha, Ariana, and Gideon Jr.; great-great-grandchildren, Cole, Kendall, Jayci, John Carter, Brantley, Emilia, Ava; sisters, Paulette Redenbaugh, Cathy Graham, Carolyn Vences, along with many nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Dorothy Georg; sisters, Bonnie Smith (her twin) and Ruthann Gerber; brothers, Tom, Kenny, and Don Georg; grandsons, Bronson Miller, Eric Miller; great-grandson, Jerimiah Spires, and niece, Jennifer Hemphill.

A Celebration of Connie's life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 1PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home - 8178 Cline Ave. Crown Point, IN 46307. Friends may visit with the family from 10AM until the time of the service. Reverend Bob Neuman will be officiating. Graveside prayer service will follow at 2PM at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In order to maximize the safety of our community, masks will be required at the funeral home and cemetery.
