Corinne Marie Doffin

Daughter of John & Kathy Childers, born on December 23rd, 1990 at Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana. Raised in Highland, Indiana, she attended Warren Elementary where she won a Sunshine Award. She then attended Highland Jr. High School followed by Highland Sr. High School. She had an affinity for art, music, and concerts. She graduated in 2009 with her High School Diploma. She then went on to receive training and certification as a professional Optician. She worked in the Optical Field for over a decade, helping people of all ages and all walks of life maintain and better their vision.

She met her husband, Eric, in 2016. They enjoyed food, entertainment, traveling, and nature. They became engaged in October of 2018 at a local pumpkin patch where Eric proposed. On November 16th, 2019, they were married at the Old Courthouse in Crown Point. Festivities followed at the 18th Street Brewery in Hammond. They then honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii for over a week. After some time, Corinne gave birth to identical twin daughters on August 21st of 2021, Flora Lynn Doffin and Luna Louise Doffin. With the utmost dedication she raised them into strong, smart, and beautiful children.

She enjoyed hiking, cooking, corgis, and playing with her girls more than words can convey. Tragically, in February of 2023, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Cholangiocarcinoma, an exceptionally rare Cancer. She fought fiercely for over a year, spending all her time in loving embrace with her daughters and family.

Corinne passed away on March 18th, 2024. She is survived by her twin daughters Flora & Luna and her husband, Eric; her parents John & Kathy; sister Ashley; niece Londyn; and numerous loving family members and friends.

Friends are invited to the Wake on Sunday, March 24th, 2024 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307. Burial will be held on Monday, March 25th, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens - Doffin Family Estate.
