I had the pleasure of working with and managing Dave at Portage Petco. He was an amazing colleague and friend. I learned so much about not only animals, but also life from Dave. He was passionate about animals and rescue, and loved to share his extensive, life-long knowledge and experience to improve the lives of pets and pet parents. He will be sorely missed.

I was lucky enough to have worked with Dave at Petco. He was always such a treat to work with with his fun sassy humor and always brightened my day.
His love and compassion for all creatures was inspiring.
Dave has such a beautiful soul and will be missed dearly.

God danced the day Dave was born. His huge heart touched every person and animal he encountered. His smile warmed any room he entered. And the world cried the day we lost him....gone too soon...but never, ever forgotten.

When I became the neighbor, 20 years ago, I first met Dave and Dennis. Over the years, we have shared a friendship, and love of animals. Dave would go out of his way to help us with our pets and I would often go to him for animal advice. I know that Dave never encountered a creature of God he did not love, and want to care for. He will be missed by all. Dave was a joy to be around, the perfect neighbors! We will forever miss your waves and smiles!! Rest peacefully our friend.

So sad to hear of Dave's passing. I knew him from when I lived in the Chicago area years ago. He was a great guy, a lot of fun and very kind hearted. He will be greatly missed.

Dave was one of my favorite people I’ve ever met. I met him when I worked at the hair cuttery and we became fast friends. He was witty and sarcastic and I loved it! He would help anyone with anything. Him and Dennis became my son’s favorite haircut clients of mine and he always looked forward to hearing about all of their animals. They quickly became like family when they would come over and my whole family loved to be around them. No matter what life changes were made, Dave and I always kept in contact in someway and I’m so grateful to have known him for the past 13 years 💙

Dennis, we love you so much and are always here for you in anyway needed. And Landon will always come help you on the farm if you need an extra hand 💙💙
