Dennis R. Jalovecky, age 79, of St. John, IN, passed away on August 24, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosemarie; his daughters, Teresa (Kevin) Campbell, and Michele (Brad) Crenshaw; his grandchildren, Lance (Abbey) Campbell, Paige Campbell, Tori Crenshaw, and Lexi Crenshaw; his brother-in-law, Stanley (Teresa); and several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marie Jalovecky; his infant daughter, Jennifer; his sister, Jackie; and his brother, Tom (surviving Cindy).
Services for Dennis will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307 on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Dennis was an Army Veteran. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and pride in a career as a hardworking machinist, ultimately retiring from ArcelorMittal. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; visiting casinos, relaxing with a good cigar, and admiring classic cars at car shows. Above all, Dennis cherished his family, especially the time he spent with his grandchildren. His memories, stories, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
