He was born on December 30, 1937, in Black Oak, IN to Russell and Jeanette Pierce. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Fukuko; his children, Russell (Bonnie), David, and Terry (Mindy); his siblings, Calvin Pierce and Paul Pierce; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation in honor of Donald will take place on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Following the visitation, he will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
