Donna M. Brown-Henson-Smith

Donna is the loving mother to Ricky (Aimee) Henson, Jr. and Tiffany (John) Pajak; beloved grandmother to Elexa (Dan) Goodeve, Ricky (Cait) Henson, III, Aaryn (Cole) Chandler, Joshua Henson, Jeremy (Karlie) Henson and Claire Pajak; great-grandmother to twelve; devoted daughter to Flora M. Brown; cherished sister to Janet Mohr, Joan (Larry) Bryant and Dennis Brown; aunt to many.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Joe Brown, Jr.; and former husbands, Ricky Henson, Sr. and John E. Smith, Jr.

Donna worked at Meijer in Highland for over 20 years. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Crown Point, where she attended Bible Study and other groups, one of them making homeless mats out of plastic bags. She is fondly remembered for singing Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All" at wedding receptions.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 27, 2025 at 3:00 pm. A visitation will follow from the end of the service until 7:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
