Doris M. (Sis) Adams

Doris M. “Sis” Adams (nee Madsen), age 88, of Munster, IN passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013. She is survived by her five children: John W. (Lucia) Adams, Robert J. (Agnes) Adams, Deborah S. (Robert) Jurgenson, Pamela J. (Kenny) Spurlock and Christopher A. Adams; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Christ (Sandra) Madsen; three sisters: Betty Skoog, Carol Anderson and Mary (Marlin) Alfstad; one sister-in-law, Shirley Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Adams; daughter, Nancy Bowman-Spurlock; and sister, Ellen Anderson. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Pastor Ronald L. Deck officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Adams was a member of First United Lutheran Church of Hammond, IN.
