Earle G. Jessup, age 78, of Crown Point, IN passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Vibra Hospital of Crown Point, with his children at his side. He was born November 10, 1935 in Depoy, KY to the late Everett and Tillie (Rose) Jessup. Earle was married to Joyce A. ( Elkins) Jessup who preceded him in death. Mr. Jessup is survived by his sons: Doug (Cindy) Jessup of St. John, IN and Greg (Julie) Jessup of Dyer, IN; grandchildren: Jeremy, Abagail, Gennifer, Tiffany, and Nick. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Jessup. Earle served for NIPSCO for over 33 years as a substation electrician. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman, and a loving and devoted Dad and will be great missed by those who knew him. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN 46375) with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens with military rites to be conducted.
