Elton O'Harrell Jones

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Jones; his daughter-in-law, Sharon Jones; and his grandson, Stephen T. Jones.

He is survived by his siblings, Vinola Brady and Clifton Jones; his children, Stephen (Janette) Jones, Deborah (Fritz) Curtis, Chuck (Robin) Jones, Jeff (Cindy) Jones, Darrell (Karen) Jones; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

O'Harrell and Frances were longtime members of Lake Hills Baptist Church. He retired from Republic Steel as a foreman. O'Harrell enjoyed singing and playing guitar for everyone's enjoyment. He was an expert woodworker. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa.

A Visitation for O'Harrell will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of his Funeral at 11:30 am at Lake Hills Baptist Church, 9209 West 85th Avenue, Schererville, IN 46375. Burial to immediately follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
