It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Emily Alexandra Jones. She left this world to join her Savior on November 30, 2025, at the age of 29, after touching our hearts with love and kindness.
Emily will forever be remembered for her involvement in Girl Scout Troops, swim club, Center Wildcats 4-H group, playing board and online games with her family, wonderful vacations and adventures with Caleb, but mostly her infectious laughter, never-ending generosity, and always placing others first.
She is deeply mourned by her parents, Karen R. Jones and Fred M. Jones; her siblings, Matthew Jones and Sarah Jones; niece, Hailey Jones; nephew, Logan Jones; grandmothers, Mary Kay Stinson and Margaret Jones; her "in-law" family, Lisa McKinney, Tim McKinney, Gunnar McKinney, Karly McKinney, Hope McKinney, and Jared McKinney; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, "adopted" families, and her beloved dog, Winnie. Emily was preceded in death by the love of her life, Caleb McKinney; her grandfathers, Robert Stinson and William Jones; uncle, Robert Stinson; and cousin, Paul Stinson.
Our family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical family for Emily's care:
-Becca Lash, visiting nurse, who loved her not only as a patient, but as a friend.
-Patty Sheetz, visiting doctor, who encouraged and directed Emily so kindly.
-Ben Otero, newly found friend, who's loving arms carried her to the car, when needed.
Visitation will be at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN, on Monday, December 8, from 3:00 - 8:00 pm. A memorial service to celebrate Emily's life will be held on Tuesday, December 9, at 12:00 pm also at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Emily's passion for giving, contributions can be made to Hilltop Neighborhood House, Valparaiso, IN. Items can be brought to Chapel Lawn Funeral Home or donated directly. A complete wish list can be found on their website at HilltopHouse.org.
Although Emily's presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May Emily's memory be a blessing to all and encourage us to carry forth her legacy of love, compassion, and generosity.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ChapelLawnFunerals.com for the Jones family.
