Evelyn C. Litwicki, age 95, of Chicago, IL, passed away on July 31, 2026. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard J. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Sara), Paul (Sue), Thomas (Jill), James (Trace), and Christopher (Terrie); nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; other family members; and sister-in-law, Madeline Wallin.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Evelyn on August, 23, 2026, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN, 46307, with a memorial visitation from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.
Before she left this world, Evelyn filled it with kindness, faith, creativity, and love. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she found her greatest happiness in family gatherings and the precious moments spent with those she loved. She was an avid churchgoer, a gifted painter, and a joyful dancer - especially when it came to line dancing. She also found beauty in life's simple gifts, whether it was the majesty of the trees, the endless sky, or the quiet peace of nature. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, gentle spirit, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and all who knew her, forever reminding them to cherish one another and find joy in the simple blessings of life.
