Findley C. Harris

Findley Harris, age 80, passed away on February 6, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirlie Ann Harris; children: Pat (Nick) Biancardi, Charlene (Eddie) Strickland, Charles (Gale) Harris, Bill (Barb) Harris, Tom (Lisa) Harris, Joe (Donna) Harris and John (Vern) Harris; grandfather and great grandfather of many; siblings: Joe Harris, Bill Harris and Leota Combs and son-in-law, Mike Zither

Preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Zither; brother, Charles Harris and great granddaughter, Hailey Hansen.

Findley proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany with the Tank Division. He was a 48 year resident of Hammond, IN. Findley was a simple man who always was willing to help someone out. He loved wrestling and spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave, Schererville, IN. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
