George was born December 15, 1933 in Stoughton, Wisconsin to the late George and Icelind (Klemmstein) Conner. He was also preceded by his wife Barbara Conner.
Surviving are his children Jane Giordano, George Conner, Tammy Conner, and Michelle Russo, and grandchildren. He is also survived by his former spouse Martha Ann Ostrowski and his sisters and a brother.
He was a pipefitter for the local union #597 of Chicago for many years, and a loving and devoted Dad.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375). Visitation will be from 1:00 until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
