Trudy C. Buck, age 92, of Crown Point, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2013 at St. Anthony Nursing Home. Trudy was born August 2, 1921 in Highland to the late John and Anna (Eriks) Swart. Survivors include her daughters: Diane (Steve) Young of Merrillville and Lisa (Jerry) Slawson of Crown Point; grandchildren: Mindi (Cameron) Mack of Merrillville, Melissa (Keith) Kwiatkowski of Crown Point, and Matt (fiance Morgan O’Donnell) Slawson of Crown Point; also her sister, Frances Enick of South Bend. Mrs. Buck was a loving and devoted mom and grandmother. She was a member of Ross Community Reformed Church. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Shawn Gerbers officiating at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN 46375. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
