Gertrude McInnis

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim McInnis; her parents, August and Tillie Borowski; her granddaughter, Carrie Ann Wersackas; her grandson, Gary Shear, Jr.; and her five brothers and one sister.

Gertrude is survived by her children, Linda (Richard) Dubay, Terri (Gary) Shear, Susan (Frank) Metter, Jean (Tom) Gunningham, Timothy (Terri) McInnis, Michael (Debra) McInnis, and Annette (Greg) Maloian. She is also survived by her 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchilldren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

Gertrude lived a full, beautiful life, loving to spend her time with her family. She loved her great-grand babies so much, and she had a baby in her arms any chance she could get. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, loved watching the Chicago Blackhawks and always had a cup of coffee nearby. Gertrude was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to so many. She will be missed more than words can express.

A Visitation for Gertrude will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. A Funeral Service will follow on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1 West Wilhelm Street, Schererville, IN 46375.
