

Henry Ray Seifert, Sr. age 91, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Lucinda Seifert; children, Linda (John) Palmer, Wanda (Thomas) Kostoff, Ray (Sharon) Seifert, Jr. and Ronald (Elizabeth) Seifert; grandchildren, Brandon Seifert, Jennifer Seifert, Danielle Seifert, Sherry Kostoff-Fary and Shelley Kostoff; great-grandchildren, Christopher Lohse, Brooklyn Adams, Tyler Adams, Christopher Fary and Michael Fary; great-great granddaughter, Soila Linda Lohse and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by grandson, John Wayne Palmer, Jr. and siblings, Evelyn Ketchum, Donald Seifert and James Luther Seifert, Jr.
Ray was born April 2, 1930, in Lawrenceville, IL to the late James Luther and Doris Seifert. On April 10, 1948, he married the love of his life Lucinda Wolfe and together they raised four children. Ray retired from Red Top Trucking with over 26 years of service in the Teamsters. He also was the owner and operator of Seifert's Auto Sales. Ray and Lucinda enjoyed camping all over our great country with their family. He loved to golf, bowl, fish, hunt, play horseshoes and camp. Ray was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 3:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM with Pastor Rebecca Sundquist officiating at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN. Interment to be held privately by the family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
