James “David” Miller, 78, of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away on October 23, 2020, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Mary Miller, and daughter Rachel (Paul) Gard, and four sisters, Rosy Mullins, Paulette Boggs, Judy Daugherty Miller, and Dawn Thompson. He was preceded in death by daughters Shauna Gay and Tisha Gayle (at birth) mother and father, Robert and Beulah Miller, brothers Eugene, Jack, Wayne, Nick, and Michael, and sister Joyce Craig.
David was a surveyor for 45 years at Harry B. Blizzard & Associates and Ganna Construction. He loved to fish, teaching Rachel to fish as a very young girl. He enjoyed his dogs and granddogs and doing Sudoku.
Visitation is Tuesday, October 27, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home from 11AM to 1PM. Funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Dan R. Estes officiating. Burial following at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
